How to use this planner
  • Set the correct frequency (weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly or annually) for each line — your surplus will be misleading if a frequency is wrong.
  • Check your payslip for pre-tax deductions such as super, health insurance or a novated car. Add those back into income and list them as expenses so nothing is missed.
  • Entries are saved locally in your browser only — clearing your cache or switching devices will remove the data.
What the planner does not do
  • It gives a snapshot of your cash flow rather than tracking budget vs actuals over time — revisit and update it regularly.
  • It does not calculate tax, government payments or salary packaging benefits — enter net figures where relevant.
  • It is a general guide only and is not intended to be your sole source of information when making financial decisions.
